Shop fire

Shop fire – Whitton. Four fire appliances raced to fire at a shop which had  flats above today. The fire in Nelson Road, Whitton was attended by over 20 firefighters fire officers.

There was fire and smoke damage to part of a ground floor restaurant. In addition, their was damage to external deducting running from the ground to second floors.

Called just before 09.00 hours the place was under control in under two hours. .Fire appliances and personnel from Twickenham, Heston and Kingston fought the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire in shop – fire risk assessment and fire training

Owners and responsible persons are reminded that all workplaces need a fire risk assessment. In addition, common areas of flats above such premises will also need to be inspected.
