Keeping your business safe from fire - a few tips for responsible persons 1) Have an up to date fire risk assessment - this will will highlight any significant findings and provide you with a schedule to action any deficiencies in your fire safety measures. 2) Produce a fire emergency plan - have regular meetings with key staff to ensure that the plan is still fit for purpose. Also make sure that all staff are aware of the plan and that the contents of it are covered in staff fire training sessions. 3) Review the fire evacuation plan on a regular basis - Minor changes to work practices and staff levels can occur and over time changes can be significant.
